USArts International Training and Internship Program places international and United States students and post-graduates with arts and culture-related organizations to complete valuable on-the-job training and internship placements in the United States. USArts sponsors international interns and trainees for the J1 Intern and Trainee visa and monitors both American and international interns and trainees throughout their training placements. We accept applicants from a wide variety of performing and visual arts, media and communications, as well as business management fields.

The USArts staff is proud to now be coordinating the ArtBridge program, which is aimed at establishing relationships and networking opportunities between American and Iranian artists and arts professionals. The program will create opportunities for participants to explore and contribute to the role of the arts in local communities in both countries. Performance training and internships
Ward Studio: New York, NY.

The Ward Studio Performance Training Program develops theater artists in its Advanced Performance Workshop (APW) and Company programs.  We provide a venue where actors work as a select group to develop higher-level professional skills, frequently becoming collaborators in the creation of original productions and developing lifelong skills as researchers, writers, stage managers and designers as well as actors.

Performance Trainee: Suitable for experienced actors who wish to augment their prior training with intensive performance experience in our Advanced Performance Workshop (APW) and Company programs.  While local actors pay a minimum of $400/month to participate in our Performance Training Program, international applicants selected through the US Arts process will receive this training for free.  Additional instruction at a discounted rate may be required in the areas of Meisner, voice, text and movement, to the degree it pertains to the specific applicant and their role in the Performance Program.

Performance Intern: One or two select students are chosen every year, to participate as actors in all of the performance and training opportunities described above, and, in addition, work alongside studio staff in administrative, marketing, and strategic planning functions.  All fees associated with supplemental instruction are waived for the performance intern.
